What it means.....

Such feelings for me have been recent and uplifting in every way. I have found love and happiness in my marriage and have learned that to truly be in love there is no room for jealously, selfishness, doubt, and lack of trust. No one can make your life better or worse without your choice.

I am thankful everyday that the paths our life took in the past have led us to each other. The people we have met have helped us learn what we love best about each other and have been the stepping stones we've passed over to find someone that truly makes us happy. I love my hubby and the wonderful family that we've started together :)

Small Examples

Today I made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for me and my son. He wanted to help make the sandwiches and while doing so, he kept reminding me that the knifes are scary and to "be careful Mommy." Next we sit at the table and I hand him his food, he replies "thank you mommy," and I smile back at him. He continues "say your welcome mommy," I laugh and reply with the appropriate response. I know my son is super hungry because I hear his tummy growling so I start to eat and he stops and says, "oh! mommy, I say prayer!"

Sometimes I forget, as life is quickly rushing by, my son is soaking up everything. Anything he can see, hear, or touch, he is filling that curious mind. I also forget that he is doing all this while watching my every move. It's small moments like these, where I am so grateful that even in the midst of the bad habits I have, he still manages to grasp onto the good ones I try to make regular. What a small but huge example my wonderful son is to me during his little years of learning and making sense of the world, because I should know better :)

Second Annual Self Girls Retreat!

So last year, the wonderful Self ladies and I went on our first girls trip. It was so much fun and we all learned a lot about each other, in a good way :) Now this year, the planning is rolling and I cannot wait to be in our sweet condo and hanging out at Silverwood. Just so excited I can't sleep!

Subbing

A horrible day in the subbing world. Sometimes middle schoolers are awful. I really hope I didn't give my teachers as hard of a time as these crazies did for me today. It's weird to remember the things that I thought were important at that age, the friends, the drama, the hair, clothes, boyfriends....ugh. Wish my tunnel vision didn't last so long. But I wish even more I could open the tunnel for my son when he gets that age. Still like middle school, but I just got a small taste today of remembering why I hated it so much.

Starting a Blog

Wow, I cannot figure this blog thing out but I have always wanted to to one! So I'm sitting trying to figure out pictures, postings and all the other junk. More to come when I'm not pulling my hair out.
